Pardew ‘I’m Very Fortunate To Have An Owner That Can See We’re Fighting For Him’
Alan Pardew has made very clear where he sees his and his team’s duty, in fighting for Mike Ashley first and foremost.
The Newcastle manager added the club and the fans as an afterthought, but as we’ve seen in the past when Alan Pardew has dedicated wins to the Newcastle owner, he is always looking for the approval of his boss.
The United boss acknowledges the anger of the fans and the fact they are sick of not seeing their team win, only picking up [intlink id=”48260″ type=”post”]19 of the last 78 available points[/intlink] and not scoring 17 of those last 26 matches in the Premier League.
“I’m very fortunate to have an owner than can see that we are fighting for him.
“We are fighting for the club and the fans. Our fans are angry and want to see their team win, they don’t want to see us lose any more.”
Alan Pardew going on to admit there are problems with the team at the moment but claims he is defiant;
“We have a team that isn’t really functioning as we would like but there is nowhere to hide.
“It is like a boxing ring, nowhere to hide. People keep asking me ‘Are you going to come back?’, ‘Are you going to stay on the line?’…I’m not going to hide and I don’t expect my players to hide.”
