Newcastle player passed driving test at fifteenth attempt

Many people connected with Coventry City are bemused as to why Alan Pardew has completely frozen out Gael Bigirimana.

The midfielder turns 21 on Wednesday and after signing as an 18 year old he regularly featured both in Europe and the Premier League for Newcastle.

However, Bigirimana didn’t play a single minute of competitive action last season, with no explanation after his initial promise.

Down in Coventry though they have over-egged the pudding though slightly, claiming there had been a ‘backlash’ against Alan Pardew because of his treatment of the player, with one ‘Leading’ NUFC website (according to the Coventry Telegraph) supposedly having a ‘Bigi in, Pardew out’ campaign running – I must admit I missed that one myself, if indeed it ever existed.

However, it is strange how Pardew saw fit to give Bigi so much first team action but then totally ignored him after his opening season.

All the reports suggest that he isn’t a bit of trouble in the squad, his profile as a deeply religious individual who drives a Vauxhall Corsa and listens to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, doesn’t point to problems.

Bigirimana hasn’t started a Premier League match since the 7-3 defeat to Arsenal in December 2012.

Yet another player to have fallen out of view but still takes up a squad place despite Alan Pardeew refusing to play him. Strange.
