Hatem Ben Arfa ‘I thought I was the only one in the World’
Following his first ninety minutes of the season, Hatem Ben Arfa has been interviewed in France.
The on-loan from Newcastle winger played the full match as Hull were denied a win with a last gasp Arsenal equaliser at the Emirates, giving a 2-2 final scoreline.
Speaking about his character in his earlier years in football;
“I was only thinking about me, I thought that I was the only one in the World.
“I am very fragile, I am too fragile.
Ben Arfa also speaks about his dreams of playing at the very top levels of European football and what he has gone through at Newcastle United and other clubs, the wasted opportunities;
“It was tremendous pressure, I spent all my credits. It is as if I was playing Mario…I still have a life. I am very very careful but I assume I will do it.”
Ben Arfa when referring to ‘it’ meaning making it to the very top.
I’m guessing that for Newcastle fans very little will veer change now, supporters keeping their belief whatever happens.
Fans either thinking he is a potential genius badly misused by NUFC/Alan Pardew, or a selfish player who wasn’t prepared to put himself out for the team.
