Cheick Tiote To Liverpool Story Floated

A busy week for Cheick Tiote and after the revelation about [intlink id=”48103″ type=”post”]now having two wives[/intlink], the media are reporting interest from three Premier League clubs.

That’s interest in the player, not the wives.

The Express now claim that Liverpool are willing to pay over £15m in January for the Newcastle midfielder but face competition from both Arsenal and Manchester United.

While Alan Pardew and Papiss Cisse, claim comments made i[intlink id=”48217″ type=”post”]n an interview by the player in the Ivory Coast [/intlink]have been ‘misinterpreted’, Pardew had already talked of Tiote being unsettled in the summer.

In this interview both Arsenal and an unnamed Russian club were said to have shown interest in the summer but it remains to be seen what exactly the intentions of Cheick Tiote and/or any of these three clubs will be as January approaches.

If Liverpool are still in the Premier League come the new year then like Yohan Cabaye before him, Cheick Tiote will represent extra value as he would be free to play in that competition straight away, as well as domestic competitions.

While not at his best against Swansea, Cheick Tiote was fighting a more or less lone battle in the middle of the pitch as Colback and Gouffran were totally anonymous, while Sissoko was all over the place, by which I mean not in a good way.

Tiote is key to any possible recovery this season, I wouldn’t fancy seeing our midfield without him.
