Can Alan Pardew answer the Gouffran question?
Alan Pardew has been unashamedly milking the wins of the last week but tomorrow we will see if he can bring himself to answer the Gouffran question.
After a really poor first two months of the season, the Newcastle manager has had a large helping of luck in the last three matches plus stumbled across team selections that worked.

Whether it is desperately throwing on subs at Spurs or playing the kids at Manchester City, things have come off. With Pardew making it up as he goes along when talking after each match, as though he always knew his cunning plan was going to come off – rather than the unexpected happening on the pitch, something which is always possible on the pitch no matter how the game looks on paper.
However, Pardew is now at the sharp end and must answer this Gouffran question.
Even the manager admits that he is going to have even leave players out of the eighteen who arguably deserve to get a game on Saturday.
“It is going to be difficult to pick the team and even the bench actually, because I am going to have to leave one or two players off the bench.
“Which is going to be very very difficult because no one deserves not to be involved on Saturday.”
The big question to answer of course is which players Alan Pardew leaves out of the team and indeed the eighteen.
Yoan Gouffran has been abysmal for ten months but gets picked week after week by Pardew. If he starts on Saturday then it will be laughable and would sum up just how clueless Alan Pardew really is.
So will Pardew’s glowing words on his rising young stars just prove to be worthless, or will the likes of Armstrong, Aarons, Abeid and Ameobi feature ahead of players such as Gouffran, Anita and others who have shown little or nothing to suggest they deserve a place in the team/squad?
We await with interest.
