6 years ago

Newcastle striker Ayoze Pérez has won the Liga Adelante Best Attacking Midfielder award at the LFP Awards for the 2013-14 season in La Segunda, with Ronaldo picking up the award for best player in La Liga.

Not a bad few days for Perez after [intlink id=”49406″ type=”post”]heading Newcastle to victory at White Hart Lane[/intlink] on Sunday.

For his creative flair and attacking performances with Tenerife, during the 2013-14 season, Ayoze Pérez has been proclaimed the Liga Adelante Best Attacking Midfielder in the annual LFP Awards.

The Canarian attacker Ayoze Pérez was signed by Newcastle United in the summer, after scoring 16 goals in 34 appearances for Tenerife in his first full season of first team football.

Runners Up in Perez’ category were;

Jota  – spent last season on loan at Eibar from Celta Vigo and scored 11 goals in 36 appearances, including the goal that clinched promotion to the Primera for the first time in the club’s history.

Juan Carlos Valerón – Appeared in 41 games for Las Palmas last season, including 35 starts and despite shortly  turning 40 years old, the Canarian still managed to show his qualities for the club.

Somebody called Ronaldo picked up the best player in La Liga award, whilst another unknown Andres Iniesta picked up the La Liga equivalent of Ayoze Perez’ best attacking midfielder award for the second tier.
