Alan Shearer Says Pardew And The Fans Know It But Only The Players Can Sort It

When asked about Newcastle United’s current plight, Alan Shearer has repeated the old adage about the next game being the important one.

In the case of NUFC Saturday’s clash with Leicester, it could well be desperation time even when it is so early in the season.

Even if Newcastle get the three points, a draw or better for Everton against Villa guarantees United stay in the bottom three.

While a draw or defeat with Spurs and Liverpool up next, would simply be crushing.

Alan Shearer and the next match;

“The most important one (match) is the next one, they have to win at home against Leicester.

“They have had a poor start, they’ve had a poor seven or eight months right back to January.”

Pardew and fans know it – but down to the players;

“It hasn’t been good enough.

“He (Pardew) knows that, the fans know that, but the players are the ones who can do something about it and they’ve got to do that pretty soon.”

Let’s all hope [intlink id=”48901″ type=”post”]Cisse and Tiote[/intlink] are fighting fit after their late return from African Cup of Nations duty.
