Welcome To The All New Papiss Cisse

Papiss Cisse can be a different man when he finally gets back from injury and I am looking forward to having the striker back playing his best as he did when he exploded into the Premier League in 2012.

When fit, and on the top of his game, he is a danger to any goalkeeper or defence can stop him. This is evidenced no better than by the wonder strike he scored against Chelsea, we all know the one – defeating the laws of physics to end up in the back of the net.

Last season though he wasn’t fit and/or coached right and I fear that this could be the same when he gets back.

I can see Cisse being demoted and alienated in the way that Hatem Ben Arfa was, then forced out of the club in the January transfer window. This cannot happen.

It is no secret that our new lads up front are not having the best of times at the moment, whether that be down to not gelling as a team, poor man-management or tactics, something has to change.

Papiss is due back at the end of the month, but may not be back to full match fitness until October, then he should have plenty of opportunities to show Alan Pardew what he can do.

I hope that Pardew gives him this chance as I feel he will work wonders with Remy Cabella slotting the balls through to him.

We can bring in new signings all we like, but we need those experienced players to be able to step up and take the strain, I truly believe Cisse has what it takes.

As long as Pardew allows him a chance, I think he will shine on the hallowed turf once again. Believe in him and he will repay us.

If you are a season ticket holder who uses public transport for home matches then it is a no-brainer to get a Magpie Mover.

If you don’t use public transport for home matches then why not consider making the change? Cut pollution, traffic congestion and stress, whilst at the same time saving money!

Even season ticket holders who live outside the area and drive to home matches, would save a fortune on parking and stress by parking outside the city centre and using the metro or bus via a Magpie Mover ticket.
