Transfer Speculation On Rolando Aarons Only 4 Days After Window Closes
You have to laugh, only four days after the torture of the last transfer window, the press are already running transfer speculation on Rolando Aarons.
As is the nature of these things these days, one part of the media puts the story out and very quickly it is everywhere.
This time it is the Daily Star lighting the fuse, with the rest following.
They claim Rolando Aarons has captured the attention of both Liverpool and Manchester City on the back of his late substitute appearance against Crystal Palace, the winger making one and scoring another, as he provided more inspiration than all of his teammates combined – which wasn’t difficult.
Whatever the truth of whether any other club has taken notice of Aarons yet, it sums up Newcastle’s ongoing problems and the pointlessness many fans feel of [intlink id=”46906″ type=”post”]getting too attached to any player showing promise[/intlink].
United have now lost players such as Cabaye, Debuchy, Remy and Ba as they have shown they’ve got star quality.
While on the other hand Ashley and Pardew are increasingly getting stuck with players that for whatever reason they don’t want any more but are stuck with them, finding it difficult/impossible to move them on; Marveaux, Mapou, Ben Arfa, Obertan, Gutierrez, Steven Taylor, Shane Ferguson, Sammy Ameobi, Vuckic, Bigirimana and so on.
The only way to build a team/squad is to keep your best players and add to them, whilst selling on the ones no longer useful to help finance squad strengthening.
To say Newcastle are failing in this task is a major understatement.
