Surprise Favourite To Be Next Newcastle Manager
With pressure continuing to pile on Alan Pardew, there are some interesting choices heading the market to be next Newcastle manager.
Alan Pardew is now just behind our old friend Sam Allardyce as favourite to be the [intlink id=”46971″ type=”post”]next Premier League manager to be sacked.[/intlink]
Heading it up is the rather surprise choice of Tony Pulis, I would say surprising due to the ex-Eagles manager walking because the Crystal Palace owner wouldn’t let him have the freedom he wanted in the transfer market. As we all know, Mike Ashley has no intention of allowing any Newcastle manager to have his own way in that department.
I think it is a given that if/when Pardew does leave, there is no way that Mike Ashley would be willing to pay compensation to take a currently employed manager.
So I think we can safely ignore the likes of Steve Bruce and St.Etienne’s Christophe Galtier.
Moyes would be the choice of many I’m guessing, though attracting any manager with a credible reputation to work under Ashley is a longshot.
Therefore if I was guessing, I think the more desperate looking candidates would be more likely, so people such as Tim Sherwood and Malky Mackay would come into the frame as well as…Joe Kinnear – characters who would be so grateful like Pardew, they will work under Mike Ashley in the hope of getting their careers back on track despite the restrictions.
