Papiss Cisse Feels The Love and Tells Jonas To Keep Going

Papiss Cisse is one of the few Newcastle players that I feel the love for and he was spreading it around as well after the final whistle on Saturday night.

Papiss was keen to dedicate his goals to big friend Jonas, a player who Cisse says gave love all the time when playing in black and white.

While Papiss Cisse may always be a bit of a rough diamond and do things in an unconventional way much of the time, Saturday’s cameo proved one thing, or is that two?

Firstly, it is patently obvious that the only place Cisse should play is through the middle and as near to goal as possible.

Secondly,just how badly has the player and the fans been treated by the manager’s stupidity of playing him out right midfield and covering a full-back, rather than trying to score goals.

The great thing with Papiss though is clearly he doesn’t bear a grudge and with both hos goal celebrations and these quotes, he is only focused on doing what he loves best; playing football and scoring goals.

Papiss Cisse;

“I feel happy, it is a long time and I come back today and score two goals, today I think is my day, I’m so happy.

“I just started training this week and the moment I see my name in the paper, the gaffer says he’s putting me on the bench.

“I’m not feeling pressured or scared, just happy, because I see that I’m coming back to play football, because you know…I love to play football.

“These goals are for Jonas because this man for me is a big man.

“I remember my first goal in England , it was him who gave me the ball and I scored.

“The time I spent with Jonas in this team is very very nice, he is a nice person, a good person. Love all the time, smiling, gives happy to the people.

“Today I just say ‘Jonas, keep going, life is not finished, keep going and thank you for everything.

“For the first goal Cheicky gives me the ball, Cheicky, oh my God, I just don’t believe…I’m just joking you know. He gives me a nice ball and take just one touch and I shoot.

“Second goal, Moussa hits a long ball and Gouffran puts it back and I am there, a lucky man.”
