New Injury Doubt For Alan Pardew
Ahead of Stoke City on Monday, there is a new injury doubt for Newcastle United, with Daryl Janmaat struggling.
Alan Pardew is awaiting news on the Dutch international, who has a muscle strain that he picked up on Wednesday night at Crystal Palace.
Massadio Haidara came on for Janmaat but it was (left-footed) Paul Dummett who was forced to move over and play in the unusual position of right-back.
Both that and Janmaat’s possible omission on Monday points to Newcastle’s lack of cover in that position.
It also raises the question of whether Alan Pardew was forced to play Daryl Janmaat at Palace due to there being no plausible alternative.
In the summer we of course saw Mathieu Debuchy and fellow right-back James Tavernier both sold, while regular full-back cover last season, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, was allowed to go on loan to AS Roma.
If you are a season ticket holder who uses public transport for home matches then it is a no-brainer to get a Magpie Mover.
If you don’t use public transport for home matches then why not consider making the change? Cut pollution, traffic congestion and stress, whilst at the same time saving money!
Even season ticket holders who live outside the area and drive to home matches, would save a fortune on parking and stress by parking outside the city centre and using the metro or bus via a Magpie Mover ticket.
