Must Be A Buyer Who’d Get Newcastle United Back On Track

I think it is fair to say that most Newcastle fans wish that they’d never even heard of Mike Ashley, let alone have him as owner of our club.

It’s been said if he hadn’t taken over NUFC  we would have gone bust, comparisons often been made with Leeds, with claims apparently Ashley didn’t release how much debt we were in when he bought the club.

I personally don’t believe that a self-made billionaire like Ashley would have made an error like that, he would have looked in every nock and cranny and known every in and out before he parted with his money.

I hate to say it but I believe if he’d have kept big Sam we would have been sitting in a far better position now, he and Ashley are a perfect fit, and Ashley must be kicking himself that he listened to us (the fans) and got rid of him and his huge backroom staff. Let’s be honest, would the football be any worse than it is now?

I do think you need to give a manager time and stick by him, but the right manager is one that brings a good style of football that also wins games, that can attract and man-manage big name players, plus also bring through and help develop young players.

Pardew is not that man.

People from outside the north east don’t understand how things work up here, or realise how big our club is.

Which other club could get the gates that we do, whilst playing the mediocre football that we have had to endure over the past so many years.

However, when Ashley put the club up for sale we all thought there would be a queue a mile long of potential buyers, but there was seemingly very little interest.

I can’t help thinking that we as Newcastle fans help scare off buyers with the help of Sky Sports news standing outside the ground. As soon as the smallest problem happens, we then see a load of kids and loud mouths that have more than likely never been to a match in their lives. Just trying to get their face on the TV

Potential buyers from outside the area must think we’ll kick off at the drop of a hat, or the first decision that we don’t understand or agree with.

However, we do need to stand up for ourselves. Mike Ashley might have a bit of paper saying he owns NUFC, but he will never really ‘own’ it, and he can call St.James’ Park anything he likes but it will always be SJP.

So bring on Hull. I dare bet he won’t show his face and Pardew will dare not move from his seat – these lot need to get out of our club.

I think we need a Geordie that knows what we are all about and that understands our passion, or at least a Geordie on the board to get across our values and expectations.

There must be a buyer out there somewhere that can help rid us of Ashley and get this club back on track.
