Why Would Mike Ashley Sell The Goose That Lays The Golden Eggs?

7 years ago

Much has been said over the past few days about Mike Ashley, Alan Pardew and the general state of our club.

The fact is you can rewind to the end of the last transfer window, or the one before that, and you will be reading the same comments;

‘Get out of our club!’

‘Fat cockney b*****d!’

I’m afraid posting on twitter, on blogs, or singing it at the match doesn’t seem to be doing the trick.

I don’t need to rhyme off the catalogue of disrespect Mike Ashley and his band of yes men have done to our club but I did think he went a step too far a long long time ago.

Alan Pardew probably will never be welcome back to St James’ Park ever again after his lack of man management skill and petty ego got in the way of the good of the team.

Mike Ashley has done a lot worse on many occasions.

I don’t believe Ashley is interested in buying Glasgow Rangers, he can plaster Ibrox with his logos and rename the ground when he pleases, so why put more money into the team?

Putting money into teams isn’t his thing. We I’m afraid are stuck with him for the long haul. Newcastle United have made him millions and continue to do so without costing him a penny. Why would he sell the goose that lays the golden egg? Free advertising to billions of people around the world that costs nothing?

Its sound like a deal worth being called fatty once a fortnight and do just enough to keep the team in the league to keep the eggs coming.

“He is not fooling us, we are fooling ourselves”, someone on this website said.

I feel like smashing my phone when I read about supporters saying ‘I hope this player does well’ or ‘This player scores 20+ this season’.

Why? So Mike Ashley can sell them?!

“This team will never go anywhere under Mike Ashley” said Kevin Keegan.

I think it’s about time we stopped arguing amongst ourselves and do whatever it takes to rid ourselves of this parasite for good.

I’m open to ideas.
