Go Back 24 Hours To Alan Pardew’s Deadline Day Pledge
Things we all say can come back to haunt us but I don’t think anybody comes close to competing with Alan Pardew.
On an almost seemingly daily basis, Newcastle fans are left thinking ‘Did Alan Pardew really say that yesterday, last week, last month’.
What does Pardew care though? He really doesn’t give a toss.
Surely we all must know and accept now that the success of Alan Pardew, in Mike Ashley’s eyes, doesn’t really have anything to do with what happens on the pitch, just so long as Newcastle aren’t relegated…again.
This is what Alan Pardew had to say when it came to deadline day;
“The targets are there, it is about whether we can do the finance.
“It is possible that we need to create some room.”
As we all know now, Ashley/Pardew ‘successfully’ removed two of the top wage earners which ‘created some room’, only for it to be abundantly clear throughout deadline day that there was no intention of bringing anybody in.
One or two of you may still be walking around staring at the sky, keeping on believing that Ashley’s crack transfer team were hard at work behind the scenes but they just couldn’t get one, or two, over the line…

However, the rest of us realised that, considering Newcastle United release ALL of their ‘breaking news’ via Sky Sports News, the fact that the Scottish idiot and his mates totally ignored NUFC from early on, meant the writing was very much on the wall.
Only some misinformation early in the morning from our ‘friend’ David Craig of Sky, suggesting Jermain Defoe could be a possibility, with the real message stated by Sky on Craig’s behalf; ‘He believes we will see some action at the club’.
Well we saw some action but nothing that will help us all get through the next nine months.
