Former Newcastle United Striker Suffers Heart Attack

Former Newcastle United striker John Tudor has suffered a heart attack.

Long time resident in the United States, 68 year old Tudor has underwent emergency surgery.

The good news is that as related by fan website, the former United forward is said now to be ‘resting and stable’ after the surgery.

John Tudor was the perfect foil for Supermac and together they formed a superb double act in the early seventies.

Tudor was more the grafter to Malcolm MacDonald’s single minded pursuit of goals.

However, that didn’t stop Tudor himself scoring 74 goals in 222 appearances for Newcastle, in a career at St.James’ Park that lasted from 1971 to 1976.

Our best wishes to John and here’s hoping he makes a swift recovery.
