With the transfer window slamming shut,Newcastle United have wheeled out Fabricio Coloccini to tell Newcastle fans what a great summer’s dealing it has been for the club.

Amusingly for many Newcastle fans, the Captain has inadvertently summed up the feelings of so many supporters by declaring ‘I think everyone can see the way the club wants to go‘, when speaking to the Harlepool Mail.

Though most fans see a different direction to the central defender.

The Argentinian claiming that Mike Ashley ‘got the message‘ and ‘spent a lot of money‘.

However, with deadline day only seeing Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Hatem Ben Arfa leaving, with zero incoming players,

“I think everyone can see the way the club wants to go.

“They’ve brought in many players, good players, and the club has ambition as well.

“We spoke (Coloccini and Mike Ashley) but that is normal, sometimes they (Ashley and his minions) are not at the training ground or in the changing room, so sometimes they need to know what has happened.

“We want to go forward and I think they got that message, they have spent a lot of money.”
