Club Director ‘Mike Ashley Could Call Ibrox The Sports Direct Arena Tomorrow’
Newcastle United fans are not the only football supporters suffering under Mike Ashley, with Rangers fans waking up to more worries about the club and especially their famous Ibrox home.
Rangers Director Sandy Easedale, has revealed that Mike Ashley could rename Ibrox ‘The Sports Direct Arena’ tomorrow.
The Newcastle owner also already controlling the Rangers merchandising through his Psorts Direct empire, as well as owning 4.56& of shares in the Glasgow club.
In an interview, Rangers Director Easedale wouldn’t reveal exactly how much the naming rights deal had been, for confidentiality reasons.
However it is claimed that the deal was agreed with Mike Ashley for the princely sum of £1, with Rangers then later spending £250,000 in a desperate, but failed attempt, to have that agreement/contract torn up.
What isn’t in dispute though is that Rangers and their fans are completely at the mercy of Mike Ashley, and could indeed wake up tomorrow, or indeed any other day, to find their beloved home tarnished by S***** D*****.
“Let us clear this us – the Sports Direct Arena.
“(Former Rangers Chief Executive) Charles Green had already done a deal with Mike (Ashley) on that.
“Sports Direct have not taken it up yet but Mike Ashley could call it (Ibrox) the Sports Direct Arena tomorrow.”
