Chris Hughton Willing To Join The Madness At Leeds United
Chris Hughton is reported to be one of the favourites for the vacancy at Leeds United.
Whilst there is a long standing ‘healthy’ rivalry between Newcastle fans and their Yorkshire rivals, you have to have some sympathy for the succession of bad luck they are having with owners.
Appointing David Hockaday out of the blue, the former Forest Green manager lasted only weeks into the season before getting the sack.
Media reports suggest he was on an annual salary of £80,000 compared to the £750,000 his predecessor Brian McDermott was on.
Whatever the wage the latest Leeds owner is now offering, he has already been turned down by former Leeds manager Simon Grayson and Oscar Garcia who has opted for Watford instead.
Other names to have put themselves forward for the comical hotseat at Elland Road include Ian Culverhouse, Tony Mowbray and Paul Hart.
Good luck to Chris Hughton in whatever job he does next but the former Newcastle manager may be done a favour if he ‘loses’ out on this job.
