Alan Pardew ‘We Have Some Lunacy Here, But Good Lunacy’
Alan Pardew has claimed that there is lunacy within Newcastle United and not many of us would disagree, indeed I doubt any of us are old enough to remember when this wasn’t the case.
However, in this instance, the United manager is talking specifically about how Paul Dummett ended up scoring a diving header to win the match, despite playing right-back and United down to ten men.
Good for Paul Dummett for showing initiative and attacking intent…that will be him out of team on Monday!
“For our left-back, who was playing right-back, to score a diving header in the middle of the box when you are down to ten men, just shows we have some lunacy as well, but some good lunacy.
“I think he has been terrific this year, at Aston Villa he was great. He was unlucky not to play the next game but Sadio (Haidara) offers us a bit more offensive action.
“But when we are up and need to defend stoutly and be strong, Dummy has been superb and he is getting better going forward.
“It is a real battle between those two to nail that position down.”
