What is believed to be the biggest reward ever offered, has been provided by a mystery benefactor to try and discover the identity of those responsible for the MH17 tragedy.

The $30m (over £18m) reward has been offered to try and make a breakthrough in finding those to blame for the deaths of 298 innocent people, including Newcastle fans Liam Sweeney and John Alder.

A detective agency Wifka have been engaged by the mystery benefactor with no visible progress having been made in identifying those who shot down the plane over Ukraine air space.

The reward money has been deposited in a Swiss bank account in Zurich and as well as the cash, part of the package for somebody providing the relevant information will be a new identity.

The Wifka agency stating;

“Everyone can be bought and it is just a question of the price.

“After the terrible assassination or ‘accident’, all parties said that they owed it to the victims, their families and the public to clarify circumstances of the crash and present evidence for what happened.

“None of this has yet been done.

“Anyone thinking of revealing information should take the greatest possible care.”

The MH17 tragedy is also due to be discussed at a meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Friday (tomorrow).
