Winger Not Impressed At Being Offered To Newcastle
Newcastle United are said to have been offered Marseille winger/attacker Andre Ayew, though the player claims to know nothing about it.
The Ghana international scored two of his country’s four goals in this summer’s World Cup but Marseille appear determined to offload the player, despite him scoring 34 Ligue 1 goals over the last four seasons for the French club.
As well as Newcastle being approached, there are also claims that Marseille’s President, Vincent Labrune, has travelled over to London to meet representatives of a number of Premier League clubs with even the offer of an initial loan deal to get the player off his hands.
A friend of Andre Ayew (the player also known as ‘Dede’) has though spoken to the media back in Ghana and this is what he had to say from the player’s point of view to Sports Crusader;
“Dede is really surprised at the news out there that he has been offered to Newcastle United.
“There have been several talks surrounding his movement or stay, but to hear that he’s been offered to a club has come as a real surprise to him.”
Ayew’s friend also claimed that the player hasn’t expressed any interest in joining Newcastle but would be interested in joining any one of Real Madrid, Chelsea, AC Milan or Manchester United.
