Two More Newcastle Signings – Medicals Scheduled For Monday Afternoon
Latest breaking news is that two more Newcastle signings are imminent, with Sky Sports’ Graeme Bailey reporting that Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow will have medicals on Monday afternoon.
It was Graeme Bailey who first broke the news of Facundo Ferreyra joining United this past weekend.
Earlier today we brought you news of this possible double signings with the following;
Earlier today
Newcastle United are reported to have made a move to sign both Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow.
The Nottingham Forest defender and goalkeeper are the subject of a double bid which would allegedly see them loaned back to the Championship for the whole of next season.
Twenty year old defender Jamaal Lascelles was reported to be the subject of a [intlink id=”38545″ type=”post”]£3m bid from United back in January[/intlink], the player becoming first choice for Forest and making the bench for England Under 21s, having already played at Under 19 and Under 20 level.
After loan spells at Newport and Walsall, Darlow has been number one at the City Ground for the past year and a half.
A lot of Premier League clubs have been credited with interest in the pair and it would be seen as a major departure, and step forward, if Mike Ashley was committing a decent amount of cash with no prospect of an instant return.
Though obviously at their ages the chances of losing out financially are limited, if the price is realistic then they are very likely to increase in value or at the very least, hold their price as promising English players.
