Siem De Jong One Of Three Missing Trip To Germany
Alan Pardew has named a twenty six man squad to travel to Germany.
Conspicuous by his absence is new signing Siem De Jong who was forced off in his last appearance through injury against Wellington Phoenix.
Typically, there has been no explanation from Newcastle United as to why the Dutch midfielder hasn’t made the trip.
Another two players who more predictably don’t make the trip, are Jonas Gutierrez who hasn’t been sighted at the club this summer and [intlink id=”45550″ type=”post”]Hatem Ben Arfa[/intlink] who has been excluded from all first team activities as Pardew and Ashley attempt to force him out of the club.
The players will face Malaga on Saturday at 2.30pm on Saturday, although confusingly broadcasters Quest publicised a kick-off time of 2.15pm.
While on Sunday, Newcastle face hosts Schalke with a 4.45pm start – all times are for UK viewers.
