Newcastle United Fans Climb On Biggest Rollercoaster Yet

Newcastle United fans could really be heading into the unknown this weekend.

A bit like climbing aboard a rollercoaster or getting to the top of a really big water slide, before you set off you get that heady mixture of fear and anticipation.

There is every chance that the team line-up could be along the following lines;

Tim Krul

Daryl  Janmaat

Fabricio Coloccini

Mike Williamson

Massadio Haidara

Siem De Jong

Jack Colback

Moussa Sissoko

Remy Cabella

Facundo Ferreyra

Emmanuel Riviere

De Jong faces a late fitness test, while Cheick Tiote is almost certain to miss out with a hamstring problem – Yoan Gouffran also a possible absentee with a knee problem picked up against Real Sociedad.

If the eleven players above walk out onto the pitch to face Manchester City, it will see six of the team making their competitive debuts for United.

When you then take into account that Massadio Haidara has only started five Premier League matches since arriving nineteen months ago, it is even more a new look team.

Williamson and Sissoko were two of the most reliable performers last season putting in workmanlike displays much of the time, though dependable.

A lot of responsibility falls on Fabricio Coloccini who were instrumental in holding things together at the back when United finished fifth two seasons ago, though neither had great seasons last time around.

That pair need to be rocks at the back to help the new look set-up to have  a chance of hitting the ground running.

Get ready to step on the rollercoaster…

If you are a season ticket holder who uses public transport for home matches then it is a no-brainer to get a Magpie Mover.

If you don’t use public transport for home matches then why not consider making the change? Cut pollution, traffic congestion and stress, whilst at the same time saving money!

Even season ticket holders who live outside the area and drive to home matches, would save a fortune on parking and stress by parking outside the city centre and using the metro or bus via a Magpie Mover ticket.
