Magpie Mover Delay Affects Small Number Of Fans

Some Newcastle United Fans who have applied for Magpie Mover travel passes will not receive them in time for the first home game of the season, ticket agency Network One said today.

More than 90% of Magpie Mover passes, which give NUFC season ticket holders bus and Metro travel to home games for just £20 a season, have been sent out in the post.

But up to 500 have been held up due to a technical delay in forwarding applications to Network One, and some of these may not reach fans before Sunday’s first home game against Manchester City.

Network One has apologised to fans for any inconvenience and pledged to get the remaining passes out as soon as possible.

Extra staff have been drafted in to issue passes as quickly as possible, and while all Magpie Movers are expected to be in the post today, some may not reach recipients in time.

If fans have not received their Magpie Mover they will be expected to pay the standard fare to use public transport to get to the game.

If you are a season ticket holder who uses public transport for home matches then it is a no-brainer to get a Magpie Mover.

If you don’t use public transport for home matches then why not consider making the change? Cut pollution, traffic congestion and stress, whilst at the same time saving money!

Even season ticket holders who live outside the area and drive to home matches, would save a fortune on parking and stress by parking outside the city centre and using the metro or bus via a Magpie Mover ticket.
