Loic Remy Completes Move To Chelsea
Loic Remy has at last got his move to a ‘Champions League’ club.
Chelsea have confirmed that the striker has signed on a four year contract.
The final transfer fee is £10.5m, the figure that applied to Chelsea, rather than the higher figure for a club outside the top four/six.
Arsenal apparently ruled themselves out over the weekend while it was reported [intlink id=”46662″ type=”post”]Remy told Newcastle he wasn\’t interested on Friday[/intlink], with the local press in Lyon reporting that a renewed [intlink id=”46736″ type=”post”]United bid for Alexandre Lacazette had also been turned down[/intlink] this weekend by the French club’s President Jean-Michel Aulas.
The twenty seven year old striker said after completing his move;
“I feel very happy and very proud (and very richer).
“When I heard Chelsea wanted to sign me I said (how much?) ‘let’s go’.
“They are one of the best (paying) clubs in the World.
“I remember the amazing atmosphere at Stamford Bridge when I played there for Marseilles and I can’t wait to (watch my teammates) play for the first time (sitting on the bench) in front of my new fans.”
