Alan Pardew Gives Up On Loic Remy To Maintain ‘Our Own Respect and Professionalism’

Alan Pardew has said that while you can never say never, Newcastle United have given up on signing Loic Remy so that the club keeps its, “…own respect and professionalism.”

Speaking to BBC Newcastle, the Newcastle manager claims that United have made clear that they wanted the French striker and that he has had plenty of chances to show interest in a permanent move to Tyneside.

Whether the Friday afternoon [intlink id=”45610″ type=”post”]loan signing of Facundo Ferryra[/intlink] is instead of, or as well as, a permanent deal for a striker being struck, remains to be seen.

Alan Pardew speaking to BBC Newcastle;

“I think he (Loic Remy) has had plenty of chances to come to us.

“We made it very clear that we would like to have had him and it had not really happened, so sometimes you have to say where is the line drawn for us as a club, as we have our own respect and professionalism.

“So maybe that’s one that’s got away but like all transfers – they are never ever over, so we will keep our finger on the pulse.”
