Alan Pardew ‘Gillingham’s A Difficult Place”
With two reasonable performances but no wins or goals so far, Alan Pardew is desperate for both against Gillingham on Tuesday night
The Newcastle manager has said that it is a must win and claims he is taking a strong squad, the same one as he took to Villa.
The question for most fans though is not so much who travels to Gillingham but who Pardew puts on the pitch.
Like every other opposition we face, the manager never fails to build up the other team and does the same with Tuesday night’s opponents when speaking to the club’s TV channel;
“Gillingham will be a tricky test.
“It is a difficult place, the atmosphere will be red hot.
“They are a physical team but we are going to need to get a win.
“I’ll be taking the same squad that came here (Villa), so a strong squad then and hopefully we’ll get a win.”
Whilst he gave these quotes to the Shields Gazette;
“I have got a good idea on Tuesday of the team and the sort of strength I need to play that game.
“We need to win it and I make no bones about it.”
