Alan Pardew Blames Newcastle Fans For Failure To Beat Palace
Alan Pardew has claimed that his players should have had all three points against Crystal Palace and bizarrely blamed the fans, rather than himself, for the failure to get the win.
The Newcastle manager pointing the finger at the crowd for the late equaliser, claiming the fans and players got too wrapped up in getting a fourth and left the door open.
Nothing to do with the desperate/clueless Pardew tactics and defensive play throughout the match, with Palace looking dangerous pretty much every time they broke out of their defensive shell.
As for Pardew getting Vurnon Anita to mark their centre-back on that late equaliser…speechless!
Alan Pardew;
“We should have had all three points.
“Perhaps we got wrapped up in the crowd trying to get a fourth and it is frustrating to concede.
“Our fans went mad and we got dragged along a little bit with it.
“We weren’t as tight defensively today as we have been and Palace caused us problems in the wide areas.”
