Steven Taylor ‘Good To Pass On Knowledge To The Kids’
With pre season training under way, Steven Taylor has said that he believes the younger players will benefit from training with the likes of himself and other first team squad players.
The central defender has also revealed that he is happy to pass on his knowledge to players such as Adam Armstrong and the rest of those coming through.
With the likes of [intlink id=”44684″ type=”post”]Marveaux and Ben Arfa banished to train[/intlink] with the…(other) kids, these early training sessions would be looking a bit deserted without the likes of Kemen, Satka, Woodman, Streete, Aarons and others making up the numbers.
This is what Taylor had to say to the official club website;
“It’s great for them to be training with us every day – just like they were towards the end of last season.
“Being in such high quality sessions like ours is only going to benefit them.
“It Is good for us experienced professionals to pass on our knowledge to the young lads coming in.
“The fans are always wanting to see the next batch of young lads coming through…they will see them in the squads and maybe on the bench, which is a positive thing for the club and City.”
Sadly, Taylor regularly sets himself up for a fall by taking up the media duties for the Newcastle squad with so few other candidates available and/or willing to do it.
After a disastrous season where he ended up four choice and Newcastle only won one Premier League match out of those he started, no doubt plenty of you will be thinking that he needs to be sorting himself out before he’s passing on the benefit of his experience to the kids.
