Remy Cabella ‘I Went Into The Stands To Appreciate Better The Magnitude Of This Stage’
Newcastle’s new signing Remy Cabella has said that his mouth was watering when enjoying a stroll inside St.James’ Park.
The French playmaker then revealing that he went up into the stands to, “….appreciate better the magnitude of this stage.”
The ex-Montpellier player also saying that the move was necessary to help with his ambitions for the national team.
While Cabella also claims that despite other public utterances,’ LouLou’ (Montpellier owner Louis Nicollin) had eventually accepted that the move to Tyneside was the best thing for the player’s career.
“I really wanted to discover the Premier League, to grow and grow, I am convinced that Newcastle is the right choice.
“This is a club that will suit me, from everything that I am told.
“Recruiters followed me for a while, the manager wanted me, everything came together for me to sign here, even if it touches me to leave Montpellier.
“I’m not only on an adventure, I am here to learn. I have spoken to players already here who have told me all about the club, then to play in the Premier League, it is a dream for any player.
“I have seen St.James’ Park, I went onto the pitch, then into the stands to appreciate better the magnitude of this stage, my mouth was watering.
“Both clubs were able to agree a transfer and I thank LouLou (Nicollin – Club Owner). He acknowledged that signing for Newcastle was the best thing for my career.
“To stay in the group (French squad) and strive for Euro 2016, I had to take the next step.”
