Pardew Reveals Two World Cup Stars Not Ready To Play In Germany
Alan Pardew has revealed that two of Newcastle’s World Cup stars will be joining the rest of the squad on the trip to Germany this weekend, but won’t be ready to play.
Tim Krul and Daryl Janmaat are the two players in question and I can only assume that this is due to the duo being involved further into the tournament in Brazil than any of their club teammates.
The Newcastle manager instead has hinted that the two players could play next Tuesday when United travel to Huddersfield for their final away friendly, where he has stated that he expects to have a ‘strong side’ out. In other words, that will be probably our first chance to see exactly what the manager sees his first eleven as being, barring injuries.
With only the Real Sociedad match at St.James’ Park on Sunday 10 August to follow that trip to Huddersfield, Pardew is struggling to give his first eleven time on the pitch together before the opener with Manchester City on 17 August – check out our [intlink id=”191″ type=”page”]fixtures page[/intlink].
Alan Pardew speaking to NUFC TV;
“I think Tim (Krul) and Daryl (Janmaat) are the only two who won’t play but they will come in and everybody will be together (in Germany).
“I expect to have a strong side at Huddersfield on Tuesday.”
