Newcastle United ‘Player To Get Another Chance’ Bingo
Borrow your granny’s special bingo dobber and get ready to mark off the upcoming Newcastle United ‘player to get another chance’ candidates.
Sadly there appears to be a very long list of this type of player at St.James’ Park, players who Newacstle are desperate to get rid of but other clubs aren’t biting.
While with some it has been made very clear that Pardew/Ashley want rid, you only have to look at the lack of opportunities these players have been given for it to be clear they have no future at United…if only somebody would pay the price tag.
The club/Pardew will be conducting their own ‘flying in training’/’like a new player’ propaganda but the local press have been admirably helping them out in recent days.

For starters you can mark off Hatem Ben Arfa (Pardew only picked him to start 13 matches last season), the Northern Echo reporting yesterday that Alan Pardew has allegedly said he’ll forgive Hatem for his actions last season and start with a clean slate again blah blah blah.
Then today you can chalk off Sylvain Marveaux (only 2 Premier League starts last season), with the Chronicle saying he’s come back to training in fantastic shape and allegedly will give Pardew ‘food for thought’.
Dobbers at the ready, watch out for the following names popping up in the positive propaganda;
Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa – Seventeen starts in league last season but never given decent run in his centre-back position, ended season as seemingly fourth choice.
Massadio Haidara – Started only three league matches last season to the bemusement of most fans who seem him as a class above Paul Dummett and even a better choice than Davide Santon in the left-back position.
Steven Taylor – Started only nine Premier League matches last term – fourth choice for most of season.
Mehdi Abeid – Sent out on loan by Alan Pardew after falling out with the player but widely reported to be available if anybody pays up.
Jonas Gutierrez – Contract situation means he’d have to be offered a new one if plays a number of extra matches for Newcastle, one player that surely won’t be here this coming season.
Sammy Ameobi – Started only four Premier League games last season and only one year left on contract.
Gael Bigirimana – Wasn’t given a single minute of Premier League action last season.
Gabriel Obertan – Didn’t start a single Premier League match last season.
Shane Ferguson – Couldn’t get a game last season for almost relegated Birmingham in the Championship.
Haris Vuckic – Struggled to get a game on loan for league One Rotherham.
