Mathieu Debuchy Removes NUFC Reference From Twitter Profile Sparking Conspiracy Theories

Mathieu Debuchy has poured oil onto the transfer market speculation flames by removing the #NUFC reference on his Twitter account.

In recent times we have seen players use social media to break news themselves of injuries and even transfers, though at times their naivety also shows through when they think they can do anything with their Twitter account without supporters spotting something is up.

With over 132,000 followers, Mathieu Debuchy only joined the Twitter phenomenon six weeks ago, so maybe never expected anybody to notice.

However, the change has been flagged up and while maybe his finger slipped…people will still see it as very small further confirmation that the French right-back is inching out of the door.

The fact he has already stated he misses Champions League football and is looking at his future after the World Cup have kind of set the scene anyway.

Of course it may be that Debuchy has somebody who looks after Twitter on his behalf but then that still wouldn’t explain the removal of the NUFC hashtag.

Whether you are told straight to your face or via social media, seemingly getting dumped is never easy to take.
