Mathieu Debuchy Completes Arsenal Medical
Following Mathieu Debuchy admitting he was in talks with Arsenal at the weekend, things have now progressed and he has successfully completed his medical ahead of a move to the Emirates.
Respected football website goal.com claimed the exclusive, with Debuchy now set to complete an £8m move, a figure which could rise depending on appearances.
The official presentation of the, still for now, Newcastle full-back could happen on Thursday to coincide with the launch of Arsenal’s new kit deal with Puma.
Personal terms are also said to have been agreed between player and what will apparently be his new club shortly.
Newcastle getting a couple of million more then what they paid for one of their best players doesn’t seem the greatest deal in the world from where I’m standing.
He had a very average first half season at St.James’ Park and then to go through that before he has an excellent first full season…then sell him for a very average fee, is surely a sign of a club going backwards at a rate of knots.
This morning saw strong rumours of a [intlink id=”44630″ type=”post”]Newcastle move for Feyenoord’s Daryl Janmaa[/intlink]t as Debuchy’s replacement but it still awaits to be seen whether United simply shuffle from within to fill the Debuchy sized hole that will shortly be appearing.
