Hatem Ben Arfa Returns With A Goal In Behind Closed Doors Match
Following being forced to train with the kids and excluded from playing against Gateshead last Friday in a reserve friendly, Hatem Ben Arfa at last got a game this afternoon
A behind closed doors match at United’s Benton training ground against Queen Of The South, saw a mainly youthful Newcastle team trail by two at the interval.
Three quick goals though put United in the lead before the visitors hit back with two of their own, before a goal with almost the last kick of the game levelled things at 4-4.
There are no details of the order the goals went in but Callum Roberts is reported to have got two, with Hatem Ben Arfa and Gael Bigirimana getting one each.
The friendly also saw Gabriel Obertan released from whichever cupboard they’d had him locked in, another player that Newcastle clearly are desperate to be rid of.
What happens with Hatem Ben Arfa next is anybody’s guess but his fellow forced exile from first team affairs, Sylvain Marveaux, left on loan to Guingamp this afternoon.
Posing for this snap below today, reports of Ben Arfa’s cake fetish appear to be slightly exaggerated.
