Emmanuel Riviere ‘Alan Pardew Is Very Charismatic and Told Me The Club Has Ambitions’
New striker Emmanuel Riviere has described Alan Pardew as ‘Charismatic’ and has revealed that the Newcastle manager has promised the forward that the club is ambitious.
Riviere also claims that moving to Newcastle will help his international ambitions and talked of ‘many French players have been selected for France after moving here’.
While moving to Tyneside doesn’t seem to have done the likes of Cabaye, Debuchy and Sissoko any harm, they were all already involved with the national team.
When the likes of Mapou, Ben Arfa and Marveaux read what Emmanuel Riviere has to say, they might not be quite nodding their heads in agreement.
This is what Riviere had to say to the Northern Echo;
“The manager is very charismatic and he told me the club has ambitions.
“I want to work hard and improve my game while I’m here, I want to play Champions KLeague and Newcastle have bought a lot of players so you can see the ambition.
“We all have to work hard to settle as it is a new team, it’s difficult to know what can be achieved.
“Playing for France is one of the reasons that I moved here, so many French players have been selected for France after moving here so I’m hoping for the same.
“It’s a great club to be noticed so it is a very good club for my career.
“Living in Monaco was a good life, a great place and the sun always shines, but I wanted to come here to feel more pressure when I play, I do have the sea her in Newcastle too!
“Remy (Cabella) is like a Cabaye and Ben Arfa together, a mix. I like playing with him (appeared together for France youth teams) because he gives so many assists for strikers.”
