Newcastle Could Still Sign Loic Remy – Reports
In a very bizarre twist, it is claimed that Newcastle United could still land Loic Remy on a permanent deal.
The Chronicle report that Newcastle have been in talks with the striker’s representatives and that Mike Ashley has also given his assent to meet both the transfer fee and Remy’s astronomical wages.
In his year at St.James’ Park, Loic Remy didn’t give one piece of encouragement to suggest he had any intention of staying at Newcastle on a long-term basis.
Then when he revealed that he had missed Newcastle matches when not injured, in order to save himself for the World Cup, that surely put the final nail in the coffin of Remy ever being seen around these parts again.
Added to that, Remy claimed that Alan Pardew had happily agreed for him to miss those matches when he wasn’t injured, something that forced Alan Pardew into releasing an official statement angrily denying the accusation by the striker.
I’ve ran out of fingers when adding up the reasons why there is no chance of Loic Remy returning to Newcastle but exactly where United will be recruiting goals from, remains a mystery.
