Striker Makes Visit To Newcastle Ahead Of Talks
On Sunday we brought you the latest regarding Newcastle’s claimed interest in Hertha Berlin forward, Pierre-Michel Lasogga.
The German club’s General Manager confirming in the German press that the 22 year old player is currently consider three choices, with Newcastle being one of them.
The invitation for the player’s visit made in advance of planned talks about a potential transfer to Tyneside.
At the weekend we reported that General Manager Michael Preetz said after meeting Lasogga’s mother and agent (who are one in the same);
“There will be a decision next week and it is only about three clubs; Hertha, Hamburg or Newcastle.”
The striker has scored 21 goals in 52 Bundesliga appearances, which included 13 in 20 games when on loan at Hamburg last season, goals which effectively kept his loan club up, Kevin Keegan’s old club surviving by only one point.
The forward has recently returned from holiday and in the coming days will decide his future, with Newcastle looking to have put themselves in the box seat with Lasogga’s visit.
