Official Confirmation Of James Tavernier Move To Wigan
Newcastle United have confirmed that James Tavernier has completed his move to Wigan Athletic.
As is the norm these days, it was first revealed two days ago by Sky Sports that the United defender was heading to join James Perch over in Lancashire, with the transfer fee undisclosed which is also usual practice now.
The defender was given very few chances at St.James’ Park and maybe demonstrates the lack of real quality amongst Newcastle United’s younger players because while along with Mehdi Abeid he was the biggest success story of United’s on loan players, the club have been happy to offload him without having a closer look at his progress.
The likes of Campbell, Sammy Ameobi, Ferguson and a host of others have really struggled to show anything to suggest they have the faintest chance of making it in the Premier League, with both Campbell and Ferguson finding it difficult to even get a game for St.Mirren and almost relegated Birmingham respectively.
Best of luck to James Tavernier and any other players that are moved on this summer.
