Bafetimbi Gomis Signs At Last….For Swansea
So Bafetimbi Gomis has signed at last…for Swansea.
Friday night brought confirmation that the deed was at last done.
Welsh club Swansea have added the French striker to their attacking department which already includes Wilfried Bony and Spanish forward Michu.
Swansea releasing the following statement;
“Swansea City is pleased to announce the signing of French international striker Bafetimbi Gomis, subject to international clearance.
“The 28 year old has signed a 4 year contract with the Swans on a free transfer from Lyon.
“The signing gives manager Garry Monk’s squad a huge boost ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
“Gomis, who will join the forward ranks alongside Wilfried Bony, completed a medical and agreed personal terms at the Liberty Stadium tonight.”
The club claimed that they had successfully signed the striker ahead of a number of other competing Premier League clubs and as for the player himself, Gomis said about Swansea
“Their refusal to give up the hunt persuaded me to leave France.”
