Yohan Cabaye Recommends Newcastle United To Remy Cabella
Remy Cabella has revealed that Yohan Cabaye has recommended Newcastle United to the Montpellier playmaker.
Newcastle have been repeatedly linked with Cabella who has almost single-handedly kept Montpellier in Ligue 1.
That was his intention when allegedly Newcastle made their first offer in January, Cabella refusing to consider leaving until he’d done his best to save them from relegation in this season just ended.
It was mission accomplished on Saturday as despite PSG (without Cabaye who was injured) hammering Cabella and Montpellier 4-0, other results meant they survived by two points.
This is what Cabella has said on the subject of Newcastle over in France;
“Newcastle are one of the greatest teams in England and Yohan Cabaye has told me a lot of good things about them.
“I have an agreement with Montpellier if an offer comes in that interests me, I will then reflect calmly and make the right choice.
“I have to make the right choice for Euro 2016 and I also have the option of staying in France, with Marseille one of the big clubs interested in me.”
Previously, we’d reported on Sissoko, Debuchy, Cabaye and Remy making the 23 man squad for Brazil, whilst Remy Cabella made a late charge to become one of the seven named as first reserves in case of injury.
The player having this to say on his selection;
“A big thank you – it is super nice! Even being a reservist gives me great pride. This is something big and exciting and after this difficult year, I am proud to wear the jersey of Team France in Montpellier.”
