Yohan Cabaye Picks Up Second Title In Four Years Tonight

Yohan Cabaye and PSG only had to beat Rennes at home tonight to lift the French title with two matches to spare, but despite taking a third minute lead through Lavezzi, the Parisian club somehow managed to lose 2-1 to lowly Rennes.

However, it was all immaterial as earlier in the day, Monaco only managed a draw against the even more lowly Guingamp, despite Dimitar Berbatov giving the second placed club the lead.

Those two results mean that PSG end tonight seven points clear with only two matches still to play.

Yohan Cabaye played the full ninety minutes tonight at the Parc des Princes and now can look forward to a trip to Brazil in the summer, having already banked two medals in a little over three months since his move from Tyneside.

The Ligue 1 title comes on top of the French League Cup win, not a bad start.

This now makes it two Ligue 1 titles in only four years for the ex-Newcastle playmaker, having won it with Lille in 2011.
