Wednesday’s Spanish Newspapers Say Ayoze Perez To Newcastle Is A Done Deal
The news today over in Spain, is that a number of Spanish newspapers have reported that an Ayoze Perez move to Newcastle could be confirmed as early as today.
Marca reports that the player was allowed to miss training (still three matches to go in Spanish second division plus play-offs if Tenerife make them) on Tuesday and when they contacted Tenerife, they were told that it was for Perez to ‘complete some paperwork’.
The deal is said to be costing Newcastle United around 2m Euros and that the final part of the deal to be tied up was an agreement on the sell-on percentage…
The striker turns 21 this summer and as we reported yesterday, [intlink id=”43143″ type=”post”]Perez has scored 16 goals in 34 appearances this season[/intlink], albeit in the second tier of Spanish football.
Whether official confirmation comes today or not, any potential deal would no doubt see Perez complete his season at Tenerife before making the move physically to Tyneside.
