Watch Newcastle United Young Players Go For Glory Live On TV Today

Fans are spoilt for choice today as you have a double delight to watch Newcastle United youngsters on TV today.

At 4.45pm this afternoon, Freddie Woodman and Adam Armstrong line up for England against Portugal as the gifted Newcastle youngsters attempt to try and help their country through to the final of the Under 17 European Championships.

Woodman and Armstrong were two of seven players rested against Holland in the final group match as England had already qualified, though Armstrong did appear as a substitute.

Woodman saved a penalty and Armstrong scored one of the four goals, as England beat Turkey 4-1 in their second group match which had ensured qualification for the semi-finals.

Armstrong’s goal made it nine in total when combining his goals in the qualifying rounds as well as the finals now taking place in Malta.

You can catch Woodman and Armstrong for England v Portugal at 4.45pm kick-off on Eurosport via Sky or cable, on Tyneside Eurosport is Channel 521 on Virgin Media.

Later in Malta the second semi-final sees Scotland take on Holland at 7.45pm, also on Eurosport. Newcastle United left-back Kyle Cameron will hope to keep his place after helping the Scots defeat both Germany and Switzerland to reach the semis.

A Woodman/Armstrong v Cameron, England v Scotland, final would be a great result for everybody and good luck to the Newcastle United young players today.

Of course, good luck as well to Gateshead who are one step away from a dream return to the football league.

You may have to juggle your football watching as you can see the Heed Army in action against Cambridge at 4pm on BT Sport 2, which again is available on Sky and on Virgin Media it is Channel 548.
