Striker Passes Newcastle Medical

The latest on the Ayoze Perez mini transfer saga is that the player has passed his medical and agreed terms.

‘Radio Club Tenerife’ have said that official confirmation from the selling club will only come once Tenerife play the last of their three remaining fixtures, or when they are no longer in with a chance of making the play-offs.

Perez’ final three fixtures of the season see his club take on Sabadell on Sunday (26 May), then Real Murcia (31 May) and finally Sporting Gijon on June 10.

Tenerife are currently three points off a play-off place and if they did close that gap and go all the way in the promotion play-offs, then god knows when his season would eventually finish.

Radio Club Tenerife further report that Club President Miguel Concepcion has taken a personal hand in looking after the deal, which represents a significant fee for a Spanish second division club.
