Scan Is Mainly Positive For Newcastle Defender But World Cup Looming
The latest scan for Newcastle defender Curtis Good is mainly positive but time is running out for him in terms of the Scottish Cup Final and the World Cup.
After a League Cup Final appearance on loan at Bradford last season, life was looking very much on the up for Good on loan at Dundee United, only for a thigh strain to intervene in March.
On his first full training session he experienced a reaction and now a scan has shown some bleeding but nothing serious, though it has again made it difficult for the Aussie to be in a position to get game time to put himself in a position for a place in that Scottish Cup Final.
Which consequently makes it more difficult to make the pre-World Cup training squad which Australia are soon to announce.
Dundee United Manager Jackie McNamara;
“The scan showed there had been a wee bit of bleeding but nothing serious and he has been doing some running this week down at Newcastle.
“He is pain free and that is something but he has been out for quite a while now and there is not really a lot of time left for him to get fit again.”
