Which Players Are Good Enough To Be in Newcastle United’s First 18 Next Season? Vote Now

Looking forward to August, we want to know who you think out of the current squad is good enough to be in the Newcastle United first 18 next season.

Not a case of having to pick 18 out of what we currently have, more you deciding who would you be happy with and choose to have in the NUFC first 18 to compete next season.

When compiling our list for you to select from, we have taken a few liberties.

On loan players De Jong and Remy are still included, despite their loan periods at an end. Ryan Taylor has been omitted because it must surely be seen as a massive bonus if he comes back next season and can play a decent part in the next 12 months.

As for young players, we’ve left out those who have never made it onto the first team pitch as it is impossible to make a judgement on them – and like Ryan Taylor they should surely be seen as a bonus.

Also, players out on loan – we have included those who have played well regularly such as Abeid and Tavernier – albeit at a lower level, but those such as Ferguson, Campbell and Vuckic have been left out.

Remember, this is all about Newcastle United needing at least a squad of 18 who are good enough to compete in the Premier League.

New signings are obviously essential but how many of these present players are good enough – pick as many, or as few, as you like.
