Alan Pardew has admitted at his pre-Cardiff press conference that Hatem Ben Arfa training “with a different group.”

This follows the release last night [intlink id=”42389″ type=”post”]of an interview Ben Arfa carried out [/intlink]with a group of journalists, which hadn’t been sanctioned by the club.

Amongst this afternoon’s rubbish/misinformation, Alan Pardew has claimed,

“I wasn’t set any targets for this season and the only targets are those that we set ourselves.”

As usual this is all a bit strange as the Newcastle manager has gone on all season about top ten being the target, in fact Lee Charnley on his promotion to top billing reiterated that finishing top half was the minimum target

Amongst the other good news was that Luuk De Jong is fit again…and that the rest of the players who appeared at the Emirates are all available again.

According to the manager it has been a difficult season for Saturday’s visitors and with them fighting for their lives it will make it an “open game”, let’s hope so after recent dour defensive displays.

Alan Pardew has also declared;

“Saturday is very important, we have to put in a performance that gets the stadium on our side and gets a win.”
